It looks like the Kapamilya director Antoinette Jadaone saw a big potential on Kapuso star Barbie Forteza upon watching the 2014 indie movie “Mariquina” directed by Milo Sogueco.
On Twitter yesterday (October 8), the directed behind JaDine teleserye “‘Till I Met You” tweeted, “Oh wow, Mariquina is one lovely movie. TANGINA KA @MILOSOGUECO IYAK AKO NANG IYAK!!!!!!!!!!! Bwiset ka!!!!!!! Watch it on @iflixph!”
On the next tweet, she revealed, “At dahil diyan, sana maka-work ko si Barbie Forteza when I grow up! #Mariquina”
Among other Kapuso stars of her generation, Barbie has really an edge in doing indie films since she has done four already. She got good reviews for her work in “Mariquina” (for which she received an Urian best supporting actress nomination). Her emotional tug-of-war with Ricky Davao, who plays her father, is the highlight of this moving drama.
