GMA Network’s drama anthology taking lead and ABS-CBN’s Christmas Special winning against rival.
GMA Network’s “Magpakailanman” was able to win again over MMK on its December 17 episode. According to AGN Nielsen NUTAM ratings for December 17 and 18, “Magpakailanman” on Saturday edged MMK to win its timeslot 18.3% vs 17.1%. “Magpakailanman’s” episode featured the part 2 of the Davao bombing story starring Chanda Romero, Victor Neri and Joross Gamboa. MMK on the other hand featured the story of the Carnival King Ramon Santos starring Yves Flores.
While Kapuso wins the drama anthology battle, Kapamilya won the Christmas special category. ABS-CBN’s “Isang Pamilya Tayo Ngayong Pasko” beats GMA Network’s “The Magic of Christmas”.
The all star Kapamilya Christmas special featuring hundreds of its prized stars and talents scored 14.0% on its part 2 on Sunday December 18 beating Kapuso’s “The Magic of Christmas” which got 13.8%.
Meanwhile, weekend daytime and primetime leaders remain the same with “Eat Bulaga!” (15.7%) and “Pepito Manaloto” (21.4%) leading Saturday and “Sunday Pinasaya” (15.1%) and “Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho” (21.9%)taking Sunday.
