Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach was seen comforting fellow beauty queen Maxine Medina at the end of the pageant.
Wurtzbach and Medina’s mentor —Jonas Gaffud of Aces and Queens —took to Instagram to post the photo of Wurtzbach hugging Medina after she lost to Iris Mittenaere of France.
Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach took time to comfort fellow Filipina.
Medina made it to the Top 6 of the pageant but lost to Mittenaere, who succeeded Wurtzbach as the 65th Miss Universe.
Wurtzbach congratulated Mittenaere on Twitter, calling the new Miss Universe a “truly deserving winner.”
Wurtzbach made her final walk before passing the crown to Mittienaere on January 30.
