Kapamilya actress Sandy Andolong thanked the people who supported her daughter, the newly crowned Binibining Pilipinas International Mariel de Leon, on social media.
The respective fans of Sandy, her husband Boyet de Leon and Mariel gathered at the actress’ Instagram account to congratulate the beauty queen as well as the De Leon Family.
Sandy posted on her Instagram the photo of her with Boyet while hugging each other.
The “Home Sweetie Home” star captioned the photo, “Thankful & grateful to our loving & faithful God almighty. Our princess is now a queen!
“Thank you for all the love & support of family, friends, IG & FB friends & followers, & neighbors.”
Also, at her interview with entertainment site PEP.ph, Sandy admitted that thought she and Boyet were more nervous than Mariel. She confessed, “We think mas ano pa kami eh. We’re more nervous than she was. So, we’re very, very happy for her. Finally, her dream came true.”
Meanwile, before the coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas started, people started to root for Mariel as the Binibining Pilipinas Universe. However, the Mariel bagged the International title, which is fine for her.
“I wanted International naman, aside Universe. It’s equal to me. So, I’m happy,” said Mariel.
