Golden State Warriors just save Senator Manny Pacquiao from walking from General Santos City to Tinoto in Mindanao.

People anticipated the Pambansang Kamao to fufill his promise; but on June 13, at around 12PM, Golden State Warriors closed the Game 5 of NBA Finals by scoring 129 versus Cleveland’s 120.

The senator has been a Golden State fan for quite some time. Yesterday, June 12, he confidently announced that he would walk from General Santos City to Tinoto. A quick check on Google Maps shows that Tinoto is more than 29 kilometers away from General Santos City — a 6-hour travel by foot.

He said in an interview with GMA News reporter Mav Gonzales, “’Pag nag-champion Cavs, maglalakad ako mula GenSan to Tinoto, malayo ‘yon.”
But now that The Warriors has secured the championship trophy over Cavs, the boxing icon’s statement is not gonna happen anytime soon.
