  • Teddy Locsin Jr. strikes again with his vicious tweet.
  • Philippines UN ambassador was debunked by a netizen over his atrocious reply to a martial law related tweet.
  • A netizen on Facebook countered Locsin’s unwitting tweet about another netizen who said Marawi people don’t want Martial Law.

Netizen Irish Christianne Dizon, took to Facebook to share the real score about the person tagged by Philippine Ambassador to the UN Teodoro “Teddy Boy” Locsin Jr. as possibly with the Maute.

In her lengthy post, Dizon said the guy John Carlo Mercado was in Marawi as a volunteer doing official humanitarian work for People’s Coalition for Food Sovereignty (PCFS). She also subtly shaded Locsin for his vicious, unthought-of reply without proper vetting and due diligence.

“So not only did he WRONGLY tag this PERSON DOING HUMANITARIAN WORK IN MARAWI as “WAS JUST WITH THE MAUTE,” he also THREATENED THE SAME PERSON BY NAME DROPPING THE SECRETARY OF NATIONAL DEFENSE LANG NAMAN. Ah, these people in power. They just love letting us know how easily they can have us eliminated, no?” she said.

Locsin has been known as a reckless Twitter user, tweeting anything without proper appreciation of the facts.

Dizon’s post was triggered by a tweet from @darnitJC (John Carlo Mercado) countering popular notion that only people from Manila are against Martial Law in Mindanao.

“How we feel about Martial Law fromManila is different from how Mindanao feels….I AM HERE IN MARAWI AND THEY HATE MARTIAL LAW”, he tweeted.

That tweet didn’t escape the lens of Locsin Jr. replying in a sarcastic way calling on Dept of Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, and insinuating the guy is with the Maute group.

“I can imagine. Say(sic) there for a bit longer. (Uh, Delfin? Is this Delfin Lorenzana? Yes. Ted here. I think this guy was just with the Maute.)” Locsin tweeted.

In the end, Irish asked for wide perspective on issues because criticizing one government policy doesn’t make someone beholden to the other party.

“Hindi porket ayaw ni JC sa Martial Law aydilawansiya. His pinned tweet is about the Aquinos and the Hacienda Luisita massacre. Lawakan ang isip.”

[Just because JC is against Martial Law in Mindanao he’s already “dilawan”. His pinned tweet is about the Aquinos and the Hacienda Luisita massacre. Let’s widen our thoughts.”]

Here’s the complete Facebook post of Irish Dizon regarding Teddy Loscin Jr’s nefarious tweet

A guy named John Carlo T. Mercado is currently in Marawi in an OFFICIAL humanitarian mission. He is there as a volunteer of the People’s Coalition for Food Sovereignty (PCFS). Aside from providing relief for the displaced civilians, he is also collecting data from the farmers and the rural poor. Now, JC tweeted about what he discovered by being on the ground. “I AM HERE IN MARAWI AND THEY HATE MARTIAL LAW.” Our ENVOY TO THE UN, Teddy Boy Locsin, got wind of this tweet and replied: “I can imagine. Say [sic] there for a bit. (Uh, Delfin? Is this Delfin Lorenzana? Yes. Ted here. I think this guy was just with the Maute.”

So not only did he WRONGLY tag this PERSON DOING HUMANITARIAN WORK IN MARAWI as “WAS JUST WITH THE MAUTE,” he also THREATENED THE SAME PERSON BY NAME DROPPING THE SECRETARY OF NATIONAL DEFENSE LANG NAMAN. Ah, these people in power. They just love letting us know how easily they can have us eliminated, no?

P.S. Hindi porket ayaw ni JC sa Martial Law aydilawansiya. His pinned tweet is about the Aquinos and the Hacienda Luisita massacre. Lawakan ang isip.
