From our Inbox: An avid reader of LionhearTV sent us a photo of Kapamilya star Sue Ramirez with Kapuso stars.

According to the netizen, the photo was taken at the set of GMA Network’s “Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka” which explains why most of the artists were Kapuso stars.

But why is Sue on the set of Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka? She may be friends with former Kapamilya stars Catherine Remperas, Charee Pineda or Martin del Rosario or maybe she’s friends with Lucho Ayala or Yasmien Kurdi.

Well, Sue has yet to explain her appearance at the set of the said Kapuso series.

In the end, peace shall reign. This phrase could be very well true between Bianca Umali and Kyline Alcantara.

The two Kapuso artists had been having a silent feud.

Just recently, Bianca allegedly attacked Kyline with a hateful tweet. This angered Kyline’s fans but days later Bianca said that she did not make the tweet. It was from a poser account.

Kyline didn’t say a word about the recent tussle. What is perceived as a long-running feud is most probably ending.

Bianca and Kyline will appear in a special episode of Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko. The two are known to not talk on the set, but this time it was the exact opposite.

• Winwyn Marquez is determined to keep being a role model.
• The international beauty titlist wants to remain true to her advocacy — children’s education. 
• She backed out of the soap Pamilya Roces because there are sensitive scenes in it not aligned to Winwyn’s personal cause. 

Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Winwyn Marquez is a staunch believer in her advocacy to use her platform to promote education for children.

It is for this reason that she had to back out  of the upcoming Kapuso series, Pamilya Roces. The series is under Joel Lamangan‘s direction.

Winwyn confirms

Marquez declared that she isn’t going to be part of Pamilya Roces. She also explained why, mentioning the sensitive scenes that she can’t do.

“Ayaw ko kasi sanang pangunahan sila. Pero hindi na nga po ako kasama dun sa Pamilya Roces… Meron kasing scenes na medyo sensitive nang konti na hindi siya in line sa dapat kong gawin. So we have to wait for the right project.”

Winwyn expressed her sadness in backing out of the Kapuso series. She, however, felt happy that this didn’t create any bad blood between her and Direk Joel.

“I felt sad, siyempre excited ako na maka-work si Direk Joel. Nakausap ko naman siya, naintindihan naman ni Direk Joel, naintindihan naman ng buong production, and I’m very happy na walang bad blood or anything. Buti na lang, hindi pa ako nag-cause ng kahit na anong delay sa kanila kasi hindi pa talaga ako nagdi-day one.”

Winwyn’s advocacy

Marquez is looking after her image since she’s still active in her advocacy for children’s education. She has an ongoing community engagement program where they distribute books and teach the kids of the district.

“Hanggang ngayon kasi, siyempre lalo na nagtuturo ako ng mga bata, ang advocacy ko sa kids. So, may limitations ako… Lalo na sa TV, kasi every day napapanood, e. Hindi naman yung parang movie na one time lang siya, e. Eto kasi, TV, kailangan safe kami sa pagpili kung ano ang gagawin namin.”

According to Winwyn, her community engagement program is still ongoing.

“Ngayon ay tuluy-tuloy pa rin yung community engagement program ko. Yung last ko, nandun ako sa Noveleta, Cavite. Nagbigay kami ng 200 books sa dalawang school dun. Nag-book reading kami. Nagbigay kami ng mga tsinelas. Parang one big party educational party for kids. Yun ang ginagawa ko ngayon, tuluy-tuloy naman siya.”

Daniel Padilla had always wanted to do an action movie. Enrique Gil, on the other hand, already had action scenes in the recently concluded epicserye Bagani.

Rumors

According to rumors, Daniel will have an upcoming movie project with Enrique. If this is true, this will be Daniel’s first separate project from onscreen and real-life partner Kathryn Bernardo in a long time.

KathNiel and LizQuen

ABS-CBN tried to pair up then-newcomer Liza Soberano with Daniel in two major projects such as Got to Believe and Must be Love. This was done to create a love triangle with his long-time love team, KathNiel.

Enrique, however, was able to have a cameo at the end of Must be Love seemingly giving a glimpse into LizQuen‘s future success.

Enrique, on the other hand, became Kathryn’s leading man in the  prime time series Way Back Home. He worked with Kathryn and Daniel in Princess and I along with Khalil Ramos.

Paulo Avelino is one of the most prominent actors of our time. Recently, rumors spread that he is retiring from showbiz.

Paulo has had a busy year with overlapping projects. He is part of ABS-CBN’s daytime drama Asintado. He is also busy training for the upcoming series The General’s Daughter.

On top of these, his new movie Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral is set to play in cinemas from September 5.

The numerous projects took a toll on Paulo. People think he’s retiring. Paolo clarified this issue during the press conference of Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.

“Not naman retire, It’s like a break… I’ve been doing this for 10 years, so I think pahinga naman. Siguro bakasyon ng kaunti. Slow down muna tayo.

“I will still be active. I will be doing stuff.”

He also mentioned that he won’t do what John Lloyd Cruz did — taking an indefinite leave from showbiz.

“Hindi naman. I always want to try new things and test things. Break lang.

“Hindi naman ako mawawala. Parang mas gusto ko lang na mas relaxed. Ayaw ko lang nang naghahabol-habol sa schedule ko kasi, magkasabay, lagare. Gusto ko mag-relax lang.”

But it doesn’t look like Paulo Avelino will not be able to take a breather soon enough. The actor said that it will only happen after The General’s Daughter which is set to air anytime soon.

He admits he needs to slow down and commit to a healthier work-life balance.

“Mas slower pace lang. Importante sa atin ‘yung work, life ay balanced. I think ‘yun ang kulang ko. Work, work lang sa akin,” he concluded.

Rayver Cruz officially left ABS-CBN‘s talent arm Star Magic on June 14, Thursday. At the time, he was seen in the prime time epicserye Bagani. The actor, however, has yet to announce his transfer to GMA Network.

Leaving Star Magic

After being a topic of blind items for months now, it’s now confirmed that Rayver Cruz has finally left Star Magic. Rayver’s handler Peachy Bautista broke the news on Instagram.

She shared a photo with Rayver and captioned it with, “Dasal ko ang patuloy mong tagumpay.. mahal kita bro!!! Star magic will definitely miss you!!! @rayvercruz”

Leaving ABS-CBN?

On December 2017, Rayver denied network transfer rumors.

“Hindi, hindi po ako lilipat. Gumagawa ako ng show sa ABS, Bagani, yung kina LizQuen.”

Bagani, however, just concluded on August 17, Friday. Since he already left Star Magic, there may follow a total change of environment, management and TV station.

At first, Rayver was allegedly supposed to star in the Kapuso giant prime time series, Cain at Abel. According to rumors, he was pulled out and set to star in an existing Kapuso series.

This started speculations that he may star in the fantaserye Victor Magtanggol with his rumored girlfriend Janine Gutierrez.

Pinay Beauty star Chai Fonacier expressed her dismay at entertainment media for asking actors about their sexuality. In a Twitter thread, Chai noted how these reporters are usually from Manila.

She pointed out that Cebuano reporters are better in conducting interviews.

Fonacier observed how these reporters are usually gay themselves.

Chai indicated how it is time for people to call out said reporters.

AiAi responds to basher

A basher with an Instagram handle @emilymiranda08 tried to sow intrigue between Kapamilya crime show, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and Kapuso fantaserye, Victor Magtanggol. The two famously battle it out on the same timeslot.

“ang fpj ang probinsyano ang highest rating natin sa tv. ang katapat nito ay nilalampaso sa rating.”

AiAi responded to the said basher. She told the said netizen that they didn’t need to compare the two programs.

“wag naman pong ganun kaibigan ko si alden – post ko ito bilang pasasalamat sa abs at kay coco and dreamscape para sa anak ko… (di) na naten (kailangan) super compare alam naman po naten yan wag na naten ungkatin ng bonggang bongga… taga gma na din po kasi ako”

• Vice Ganda slammed It’s Showtime co-hosts for not supporting him with his love life.
• He pushed Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario into the Tawag ng Tanghalan gong.
• This caused the cameraman to use his ‘superpowers’ to stop the gong from falling.

During Tawag ng Tanghalan, Vice Ganda and Vhong Navarro chased each other and Jhong Hilario was suddenly involved in their altercation. During their mock fight, Vice pushed Jhong into the gong causing it to tip over.

Luckily, It’s Showtime cameraman had ‘superpowers’ which stopped it from falling.

TNT gong almost falls off

Vice chides Vhong and Jhong for not supporting him with his love life.

Vice wants to transfer to Bubble Gang

Vice continued his running joke about transferring to GMA Network.

“Magulo talaga ‘tong programang’to. Nabibwisit na rin ako sa show na ‘to… ‘Pag meron talagang mag-offer sa akin sa kabila, lilipat talaga ako doon. Nabibwisit na rin ako sa inyo! Naku, sinasabi ko sa inyo!”

Vhong tried to argue that they are family in It’s Showtime.

Vice shrugged off Vhong and noted that he would transfer to Friday night comedy show, Bubble Gang.

According to the results of Nielsen TV Audience Measurement on August 21, ABS-CBN shows earned the top slots.

FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano remains number one with 14.8% share on ratings with Ngayon at Kailanman and TV Patrol following right behind.

New GMA shows Onanay and Victor Magtanggol occupy the 4th and 5th spots respectively.

Eat Bulaga gained the upper hand compared to rival show It’s Showtime with ratings of 8.2% against 6.8%.

The highly anticipated Meteor Garden earned 7.5% rating.

The survey includes the networks ABS-CBN, GMA, TV5, Aksyon TV, CNN Philippines, and Viva Communications Inc.

In one of Janine’s Instagram posts, a netizen commented labeling her “the girl behind a flop TS” referring to her role as the leading lady of Alden Richards in Victor Magtanggol.

Instead of defending herself, the actress answered with class and respect. She replied, “congratulations po on 34 years of teaching. wish you more power.”

Netizens are proud of how Janine handled the situation with the basher who is said to be a teacher.

The actress already previously stated that she came prepared before entering showbiz.

• Jake Zyrus was invited to star in a Japanese movie titled Yaru Onna.
• He also sang the theme song of the movie.
• The producers personally chose Jake Zyrus to play the role and sing the theme song.

Jake Zyrus will soon star in a Japanese action-drama film titled Yaru Onna (She’s a Killer).

His role in the said movie is important, he revealed, “I play the role of Akira, parang best friend ako nung bida na si Aiko, played by Kang Ji-Young.

“Kamay niya ako. Isa siyang assassin tapos ako ‘yung tumutulong sa kanya na maghanap ng next target niya.”

Jake did not audition for the role. He was personally handpicked and was also asked to sing the movie’s theme song.

“They handpicked me for the role. Last year, nag-start kami mag shoot. Kaya sa movie, maliit pa ang boses ko, before the transition ‘yun, and ako din po ang kumanta ng theme song.

“We were there for two weeks and a half. Sobrang gaan po nila ka-trabaho, sobrang mahinanon and nakakatuwa pa akala nila nag-transition na ako noong andoon na ako and they’re very respectful about it,

“Nakakatuwa din po kasi pati credits, from Charice Pempengco to Jake Zyrus, pinalitan din nila talaga and they’ve been supportive about it.”

The show premiered on February 2018 with a story revolving a mother whose life was shattered after she discovered she has HIV.

The show received an award in July for educating viewers about HIV/AIDS.

The Philippine Catholic HIV-AIDS Network of the Diocese of Antipolo granted the award during the Walk the Talk: Stop the Stigma, Stop HIV event.

The afternoon series was also a consistent toprater. The pilot episode earned 5.3% and its highest recorded rating was on its May 1 episode earning 8.3%.

Kathryn Bernardo was offered to be part of the reunion movie of Sharon Cuneta and Richard Gomez. The title of the movie is Three Words to Forever and will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.

Her onscreen love team, Daniel Padilla, approves of Kathryn’s new project and is very happy for her.

“Excited ako para kay Kathryn kasi siyem­pre mayroon siyang project. Mag-isa siya, I mean wala lang ako and I think maganda ‘to para sa kanya dahil maggo-grow siya bilang actor,” says Daniel.

He also clarified that having solo projects doesn’t mean the end of KathNiel.

“It doesn’t mean na ‘pag naghiwalay kami mayroon na kaming iba ng kasama. Hindi naman kailangan may partner na agad e.”

Sharon Cuneta also agrees that Kathryn and Daniel should have their solo projects to grow in the acting industry. Working solo will be a challenge but it will showcase their true potential as artists without depending on each other.

For the fans, instead of worrying, better focus first on supporting their new upcoming movie The Hows of Us which hits cinemas nationwide starting August 29.

• 17-year old International Artist Andreah about to launch music in PH
• ANDREAH took up piano at the age of eight, began singing lessons at ten and starting to write songs with friends ‘for fun’ at thirteen

Born in Manila August 2001 to a Filipino Mum and an Irish Dad, music has played an everyday part in ANDREAH’s life from a very early age. Inspired by her mother and singing in the local church choir, she participated in school music events and joined her first band in Year 6, performing during graduation. ANDREAH took up piano at the age of eight, began singing lessons at ten and starting to write songs with friends ‘for fun’ at thirteen.

ANDREAH has traveled extensively throughout the region and spent a great deal of time in both Singapore and Manila where her father’s companies are based. Hence the choice to launch her musical career in the region.

By the age of 14 she was writing on her own and teaching herself to play guitar, thus enabling her to develop more songs. At 15, her first serious solo creation was Magic a song based on a personal experience, which she has chosen to share with us all. Her first release and Asia POP 4O’s recent BUZZ track, Best Friend was written as a parting gift to her best friend whose family moved to another country.  “I hope my music can help people through rough and difficult times, as it has helped me,” she states whilst providing an insight to her life story, which the young singer/songwriter describes as a somewhat “scary” experience.

ANDREAH’s love for performing, which she embarked on locally several years ago, resulted in an invitation to support The Script in Singapore Hong Kong and Manila in April of 2018. More recently she headlined Singapore’s Heartstrings concert at the Repertory Theatre in August on behalf of the Children’s Cancer Foundation.

She cites both The Script and Ed Sheeran as the driving forces behind her love of songwriting and aspiration to continue performing. “It was simply a dream come true to be up there in front of such large audiences, and I enjoyed every minute,” she shared.

Los Angeles based producer Qura Rankin, who joined her band on stage for these performances, heard ANDREAH sing and believing “she has what it takes if she wants to take it”, offered to record and produce a selection of her early songs.  

The two spent some time at Thailand’s Krabi Road studios in April. There is nothing pedestrian about the mood and narrative these first six recordings captured in the most natural of environments. To have recorded so close to home where her songs were written, is an integral part of this narrative.

As an active member of her local school, she enjoys all school activities, playing both soccer and basketball.  In 2017, she spearheaded a fundraising talent contest to help build a school in Cambodia and attended its opening ceremony there. Insisting that her priority remains to complete her education and, with exams scheduled later in the year, ANDREAH’s foray into Japan, Australia and European markets will have to wait until mid-2019.

In the past week, Vivo has been dropping hints on its social media accounts. • Since 2007, the kiddie-talent search has been SM’s cross-cultural campaign that sends Philippine winners to China

A budding singer from Fairview and a promising dancer from Bacoor were hailed as grand winners in this year’s SM Little Stars, SM Supermalls’ annual kiddie-talent competition. Aleynah Cassedine Redillas and Satriani Lancelot Acot sang and danced their way to victory during the recent competition’s grand finals held at the SM Cinema Center Stage, SM Mall of Asia.

The other top finalists also wowed the audience with their cute and shining performances. They are Rhemaya Ruth Simpson, Andrea Taft, Sandrex Marky Cua, Alyssa Anne Muckey, Ysabella Espinosa, Billy Xander Lontayao, Sylvannah Jamie Manuelaurice Garcia, and Queencess Clever Mauricio.

Contestants confidently executed flawless performances with the help of celebrity mentors and judges Sam Concepcion, John Arcilla, Mickey Perz and Winwyn Marquez who conducted fun workshops that helped enhance the kids’ talents and skills. The celebration of world-class talents also featured the song and dance numbers of SM Little Stars grand finalists from China.
