Kapuso TV series “Mulawin vs. Ravena” seems to be affected by the bird flu outbreak that hit parts of the country recently.
This was the observation of netizens from various social media sites as “Mulawin vs. Ravena”’s nationwide ratings continue to plunge down compared to its rival “La Luna Sangre”.
Based on the survey released by AGB Nielsen and Kantar Media a week after the bird flu outbreak was broadcast, the bird-themed TV series’ rating went down by almost half the ratings of vampire and wolf-themed “La Luna Sangre.”
The ratings of “Mulawin vs. Ravena” ranged from 8.4% to 9.7% on August 15 to 18, a loss of almost 2 percent compared to “La Luna Sangre”’s 10.7% to 12% ratings on the same period, the AGB Nielsen reported.
On the nationwide survey of Kantar Media-TNS, the ratings of “Mulawin vs. Ravena” plunged down to as low as 13.5% on August 15, more than half of “La Luna Sangre”’s lowest point of 32.5 percent recorded on August 18.
The latest ratings of “Mulawin vs. Ravena” was almost two-point low compared to its ratings on the latter part of July, before it moved its time slot and the bird flu outbreak was publicized.
This is why netizens are now asking, did the bird flu outbreak’s effect also hit Kapuso’s primetime “Mulawin vs. Ravena”?
Below is the exact percentage rating reported by the two top surveyors from August 14 to August 17:
